How old were your parents when you were born?

After reading this article, I remembered a friend's dad was in his 50s when she was born, I thought he was her grandfather too.

I didn't think of mine as being young or old, they were just adults My mum was 27 and my dad was 30. They were 23 and 26 when they had my older brother which now seems young to me but it wouldn't have been remarkable at the time (late 60s).

Both 24. I remember thinking my mum was ANCIENT and she must have only been about 30

My parents were both 22 when I was born in 1963. I think they would have been better waiting until they were older and wiser. Having said that, I was only 23 when my eldest child was born.

Mine were 34 and 36 when I was born, only just young enough to be allowed to adopt but exactly the same age as we were when L was born.

I'm the eldest and my mum was 20, my dad 23. They met when my mum was 17, engaged at 18, married at 19. At my age now, she had a 16 year old, a 14 year old and an 11 year old or something.

P's mum was 19 and his dad was 28ish, I think.

My mum was 32 and my dad 28. Mum was classed as an older mother. I think they'd been trying for some time to have me and we're undergoing fertility testing.

Both 30. They were married for 8 years before they had me and deliberately waited quite a while to have children so they could do their own thing first. Apparently they weren't even totally sure they wanted to have any for a while.

My mum was a month short of her 34th birthday and my dad had turned 39 a few months before I was born. Very old parents in the mid 70's.

My parents were 32 and 36 when they had me. They already had nine, eight and six year old boys at the time though, and added another girl six years later again. I always felt like my parents were old as most of my friends didn't have siblings best part of 10 years older.

My Mum was 16 and my Dad was just 17 when I was born. Its crazy to think that when they were my age my age I was 22.

My mum was 33 and my dad 35. My sister was stillborn when my mum was 23 and I came along ten years later.
