The Mock Turtle

One of the girls at work who isn't here very often went out of our back door to have a ciggie - most people go out to the front of the building. Anyways, she went to put her cigarette out in the wall-mounted fag bin thing, and a blue tit has made her nest in there and there are six dinky little blue tits in there!!

On Monday, we had a fox and her two cubs outside our office window playing.

I will try and get photo of birdies. They are so cute!

Bluetits are ALWAYS nesting in those things, aren't they? Make sure there's a BIG sign on it, though.

Wisley had to put a note on one of their display robin nest boxes in the shop last year because a robin had decided he approved and taken up residence.

We've put a sign underneath it so as not to scare mummy blue tit away. They are awfully sweet and didn't seem the least bit worried about us.

We have a nest of birds actually in a broken outside floor light. They've made the empty pipe their own little safe house. The babies are very noisy though!

Can you not have an email going out so everyone knows.

I had a nest in the tree right outside my front door at eye level last year, of blackbirds I think. It was well cool, I am sad they haven't come back.
