Your technique looks good, I think maybe it's the colours / order of the colours that's the issue. :))
I was trying to do them in Olympic ring order is there a better order like light to dark ? I really had no idea what I was doing.

Still it is all off now !

They're really not the kind of colours that will merge well, in my opinion.

Those can't be the gymnasts hands- there's two wedding and one engagement ring there. Plus they look kind of old for 15 year olds;)

I reckon it's the coaches or something...

Eta: it's a re-tweet from Beth, it's some random bird, nothing to do with the gymnasts!

Oh, she's tweeted everyone with that pic- from the lovely Clare down. Can't blame her for trying, they are impressive.

Is it just meant to be two or three similar colours ? Or were mine too primary ?

I think light to dark or similar shades, like a rainbow or PMs yellow/orange/pink, work best. The closer the colours are the easier they blend. It was a good idea though!

I wasn't sure when I initially mentioned it but it seems like the straw thing would work:

I tried straws (but directly onto my nails) and it was a disaster :( This looks a bit better though

I think the curve on your (my, ones) nail would be a pain doing it directly onto the nail. That would be my issue definitely.

They are not very true to the colours I used, the pink is bright pink, like the proper logo!

Cauldron!

New photo, as I can't always tell until I look on a PC what the photo quality is like! You still can't see how lovely the green is, it's so dark!

My lovely long nails snapped  I haven't done anything fancy to them in ages so here is a rubbish attempt.

They've not been tidied up yet.

I like that green, it's the one I have. I'm going to update that photo above, now I'm in a better light.
