Yes. It's a long time and people can try lots of different olympic themes

I like that idea too.

We might fancy doing nails themed to a particular event or something as well as the opening. :disco:

I like that idea a lot, I was a bit worried about poor Pip having to judge from her hospital bed!

I have not got a clue what to do as I generally just copy other people :sheep: see my dotty nails I copied off George so I might have to wait to see what people do and see if I get inspired as I havent got a creative bone in my body

I shall save doing mine until I actually go to the Olympics. So I have a little while to decide what to do.

I quite like this, it's very simple but quite effective:

That's one I looked at, but I'm not sure about the white nails. I might go for pale pink or something.

Nude or pink nails would work, or any colour that was quite plain, I think.

I may struggle with this - white nails give me the horrors. It looks like Tippex. Perhaps silver or gold could be used.

That is nice, Shoe. And good glitter, Pepper!

I have tried a gradient effect with the ring colours, which didn't look great, and the medal colours, which was ok. I also tried and very badly failed at marbling.

Gold and yellow would worry me, but silver might work

I really like that one but there's no way I could do the lines neatly enough.

There's a tutorial on YouTube but even without watching it I would hazard a guess that there was liberal use of those wee circles that you put on punched A4 paper to stop it ripping out of a folder.

ETA: They haven't, I probably would though, for ease.

I'm not ready to start yet, I've literally 20 minutes ago done my nails in a blue magnetic! And now I want to take it off and do my Olympic nails instead. Doh!

I tried that Olympic manicure a couple of weeks ago and can confirm that it is impossible for a mere mortal to do the circles nearly enough. Vodders could probably do it though.

I am experimenting with white nails and dots. So far, I can confirm that yes, it does look like I've put tippex all over my fingers.

Ok here is a hastily done first effort. There are 47 layers of glitter to achieve anything like the desired coverage.

Like.

Want.

I'm going to see some bands at the Olympic Park, hopefully. I would like to do spangley nails.
