Dark to blonde

Post by Noooon »

For some stupid reason my 19 year old brother has decided that he wants to be blonde. His hair is naturally very dark and after putting on xxl twice now he is a fetching shade of bright orange. I have only see the pics on facebook and they are shocking (although I am convinced that other chemicals were involved in him looking so 'special' in them). Any suggestions to stop him looking like such a freak? (Apart from the obvious of course and this cruel pic will have to be taken down at some point  )

Oh dear.

He needs per-lightener, then re-dye it over the top. But he may still have a gingery tinge. I speak from bitter experience.

He doesn't like it. He is pretty laid back though and won't particularly care what he looks like as is demonstrated by this pic :))

I do love the fact that he doesn't really give a fuck. I would shave my hair off or wear a hat for months  He also insists that all he had was alcohol :sherlock:

Just don't show Batvia. There's a passing resemblance to a Weasley there.

Just save the photos and let him manage until he shaves it off. My brother did similar with Sun In when he was 17 and thirteen years later the photographic evidence of his yellow-orange curtains are some of his (now) fiance's most beloved possessions.

Oh no :)) How blonde does he want to be? I'd bleach it again, unless the hair feels like it's about to snap off, and then put a non permanent dye in an ashy/matte tone over :))

That's a brilliant photo and should not be removed from the internet!

Anyway, as someone up there said, he needs some pre-lightener, and then needs to put an 'Ash Blond' over the top. The ash will neutralise the red.
