The Clotheshorse

Post by Lily »

Spill about your new purchases here. I am on a clothing ban apart from the jumper I got from Hobbs (it hasn't arrived yet) so I will live vicariously through you all. I have however ordered some new pants from the Bravissimo sale as wearing nice underwear, as opposed to my usual navel-stroking M&S horrors, makes me feel ridiculously happy.

I'm trying to buy some Oasis and Warehouse sale stuff, but every time I select a size to add to my basket the page just has an egg timer to show it's loading, but never does anything. Can someone else check to see if it's just me, please?

I've just tried Oasis and it let me add a couple of things with no problem.

Thanks! Was it sale stuff? I'm wondering if it's a stock thing, but some of the items aren't even saying low stock before I try to add them. Maybe it's a message not to spend money. :)

It was sale stuff - I just chose a couple of random items as a test. Maybe it's a server thing? You might get a different result with Google Chrome (or without if your're using it).

Oasis and Warehouse both drive me a bit nuts with the sale stuff. I don't know how many times I've added search criteria and it suggests things which don't match that, or try and put stuff in my basket, then find it isn't available, or order and pay and then get told they can't find it.

Cheers, Tyler, I will try another browser!

Yeah, I've had the same, Smal. I'd boycott them but they are my favourite shops so it's hard to. :puzz:

The issues I had at checkout was one of the reasons I stopped shopping at Oasis. (The fact that I got too big for their clothes is immaterial.) I just tried adding items to a basket, on Chrome, and it worked OK although a little slow.

Having sworn off clothes, I must share my ebay bargain from Hobbs (bought before I started this thread, ahem) - £4.99 and fits perfectly!

GOd. The only browser that worked was IE (who knew?), so I just did a big load of stuff from Warehouse and then it lost my basket contents. :verm:

I have fought through the pain like some sort of hero and ordered a jumper, a striped shirt, two pairs of trousers that I'm not sure about and a flowery bomber jacket that I'm not sure about.

These might be massive, sorry. Is there an easy way to resize?

I like the tops especially! You may as well have made a massive order seeing as it was such a labour of love.

I like the bomber. What's with the sandal things with flappy trouser legs? Horrible.

Yeah, I won't wear them with sandals. I love the print of the bomber but I'm unsure about whether it'll be something that gets much wear.

I have also managed to put through my Warehouse order now. Here's some of it:

Sorry for massive ones again.

I like all of your purchases, Ken. Do let us see the bomber jacket on when it arrives, please. I keep looking at them but I know one wouldn't suit me.

At lunchtime I went to M&S and made use of the £5 off £35 voucher by buying more boots that I already own (I was having cold sweats that they would die, and they have barely been off my feet since I bought them) and some brown tights that were necessary, and basically free thanks to the voucher. This isn't in the spirit of my not buying anything, but seriously, these boots are so comfy and so versatile that I couldn't bear to be without them.

There's nothing better than a holy grail item.

I will show you the bomber jacket on. Although thinking about it, I'm already not sure what to put it with which probably tells me I don't need it. I might just think of it like a different kind of cardigan.

I love the bomber jacket Ken! I was looking at them online the other day (in some sale or other) but I REALLY can't buy anything at the moment.
