A has done the kitchen floor and utility room floor (we are putting the same tiles down in the dining room & conservatory) he just needs to grout these and put the plinths back on: Attachment:

The Machine insisted on putting paw prints all over the floor once it had been mopped:

 Re: 2010 home plans
The conservatory has a roof! All the glass is in, and just a couple of panels on the roof need going in, which they are coming to do today. The plasterer is coming Saturday, and so is PatioMan, so it's all getting there!

They should be finished tomorrow and the tiler will either be here all weekend or at the beginning of the week. Hopefully we can spend the weekend getting the place cleaned up and stuff put back into cupboards I am still amazed at the amount of floor space we have. I will not post any more photos until it is completely finished

 Re: 2010 home plans
It does look huge - I cannot believe how big it is. Next photo, I will put Gannet in for size reference as I think a 50p might get lost

 Re: 2010 home plans
It is very lovely and I'm joining Verm in the jealous corner. My kitchen is the size of an average cupboard.

 Re: 2010 home plans
I know you have space and therefore it is going to be very tempting to do it just to prove you can, but please do not swing a cat in the kitchen bramblerose.

 Re: 2010 home plans
Work to repair the leaking roof starts on Thurs, so I won't be going on holiday expecting to come back to an internal swimming pool.

 Re: 2010 home plans
i could cry - i've just had an electrician round for what we thought was a 1 1/2 -2 day job to re-earth some lighting and fit some lovely new ceiling lights i bought. it turns out our circuit board has no earth which means it's not just a matter of joining bits up and everything needs rewiring. this means troughs gouged down my walls to all light switches, my newly done floor boards coming up and twice as much labour costs for the electrician plus whatever it costs to get everything made good and redecorated. bah.

 Re: 2010 home plans
Oh bloody hell Abs, though it's for the best long-term to find this out now, I guess?
P and his two mates are attacking the house today. P and one of them had already stripped the study but when they took off some wood panelling the plaster all fell down too. A plasterer P knows from the pub sorted that out on Monday and so they're going to paint over it today in a blue/green.
The spare/baby room is going to be stripped (though wood panelling will be left on!!) and painted the same colour.
The front/back room downstairs is being left with its existing paper but is being painted yellow.
