Fez
I have got it into my mind that I really want to go to Fez, aided by the fact I can get there directly from Gatwick.
Has anyone been? If so, would a week be too long? I'm definitely considering day trips out to Volubilis and Chefchaouen but am totally open to other suggestions. And would Feb / March be a bad idea?

Re: Fez
I thought you were asking about headwear. I was about to advise against.
I do not know about the other one. Sorry.

Re: Fez
I bought Mr L a fez as a souvenir when I went to Marrakech. I believe he strategically lost it when we moved house.
Anyway, I have never been to the town - does it have a famous Medina? I think a friend went there and loved it - but would happily spend a week in Morocco, so don't think you are mad, no

Yes, I should imagine they ming
Would six days there with two, possibly three day trips be too long do you reckon? Bear in mind we're pretty good at taking things s-l-o-w-l-y.

This reminds me of David Suchet who said (on Desert Island discs) that once, when driving, he heard a piece of music so moving, he had to pull off in a layby. Dirty bastard I thought.

Re: Fez
Just realised I never replied to this, sorry! Have you booked it yet?
I am sure you could wile away six days in Fez, but I would definitely recommend an overnight at least in Chefchaouen as it is 4 hours away.
Or, maybe fly into Fez and out of Casablanca?

I'm simultaneously and disgusted at this.
If your back's against the wall, turn around and write on it.
