Thanks, Margo. I saw that and it was interesting.

Wendy, those colours are great together - I particularly like the teal next to the aqua, but they all go well.

That's really nice Wendy. Learning to crochet so I can make a blanket of squares is on my list.

At the moment I am learning how to stitch and bind notebooks.

Pretty, Bean! I’m still making blankets, the current project is a baby blanket I’m making as a present for a friend who gave birth a fortnight ago.

Is bookbinding complicated, Bean?

Here is the jumper I am working on. I have 2 more cables before starting on the rib. I need to decide on the neckline, too. The pattern has 2 versions - a crew neck and a cowl, and I don’t know which to do. I have already made the pattern with a cowl neck, and it’s lovely and warm, so I’m tempted to do another, but I don’t know that I need two, as indoors is usually centrally heated, so they can be hard to wear :blah:

That’s so clever, Bean! They look super.

I think a crew neck would look lovely for that sweater, Morgs. It’a got a bit of a 1940s vibe to it.

This is the cowl neck version. The yarn is s a bit thicker than the blue one, but they are both technically aran weight cashmere. The raspberry one is my favourite jumper as it is so soft, and I can just fling it on over things to go out, or wear it on its own on freezing days.

I have to do the sleeves first, though, so I'll have a think.

That raspberry one is such a pretty colour.

The bookbinding is not that complicated in principle but it's hard to get everything the right tension when you stitch it. The hardest part is doing the spine and I haven't got that completely right yet that's why the ones I've done so far have an extra spine support, it's to cover up mistakes! I got some fabric remnants to try cloth covered notebooks as that's more durable than paper but I haven't tried it yet.

The books are very cute Bean.

I’ve outsourced the knitting of a flamingo jumper for Sproglette (to my mum), as I want to try a more complicated sewing pattern than I’ve been doing recently. It’s an Oliver & S top and skorts set for Elvis.

I’m still working on the crochet blanket and finished Elvis’s pyjamas. She’d slept in them when I took this picture.

My bubble at school seem to quite enjoy doing art things (especially if it gets them out of the work set!). This is what we’re going to do this week. Colouring in!

Did it go down well?

My mum did the flamingo jumper in record time, and I finished the cot-sized blanket.

It did! They so want to be grown up but then they’re all “Ooo, colouring in!”. :))

Excellent knitting and crochet action!

Yes I think so. It's still not perfect, some of the glue has slightly marked the cover. But I think it's the best one I made so far.

The middle picture makes it look like one of the end boards is bent. It's not, it must be the angle.
