Have you been to the doctor? My friend managed to scratch his eye recently and he had to wear an eye patch for a couple of weeks. You might get some eye drops or something.

Re: Anyone ever scratched their eyeball?
Yes, I scratched my eyeball and it was horrible. I can't remember how long it took to feel better though, sorry! I didn't get an eyepatch or anything though. They just bathed it at the hospital and told me to leave it alone, as I was constantly rubbing it thinking there was something in there.

My mum did this on a rose bush and had to get some yellow iodine stuff to put in her eye, it was wicked. Go to the optician if in doubt.

I've got tears now down my face, just the thought has made my eyes water madly! Hope it feels better soon!

Re: Anyone ever scratched their eyeball?
I've done it twice and the pain I went through was unimaginable. But then, I ended up in hospital having my eye cemented back up and all sorts, and it doesn't sound as though you have it quite as bad.

I got some grit stuck in mine and had to go to an eye hospital to get it removed and bathed. It did take a while to heal and I had to apply antibiotic cream twice a day. Have you seen a doc about it, perhaps it's infected?

Re: Anyone ever scratched their eyeball?
There's nothing in there - it actually happened because there was something stuck under my eyelid, and I ended up in Eye A&E. They removed it and I had an antibiotic cream to put on for a week. It doesn't hurt now but it constantly feels like there is something teeny weeny in my eye EXACTLY where the scratch is. IT IS DRIVING ME MENTAL.

Maybe some lubricating eye drops will help?

Or lie down with some sliced cucumber over both of them just to give them a rest?

Yes, that's what happened to me too. Me too. An insect hit my eyeball and shot up into the cavity above my eyelid. I had to have my eyelid split open in order for them to remove it eventually. Are you sure that you don't need to go back to the quacks?

Shit the bed I nearly passed out reading that! I just rang them, I actually spoke to the nurse that removed it, he wants to see me later to check its not infected. GREAT.

Oh my GOD, Twat! That sounds awful! I was tripping once and a fly flew into my eye. It took all my mental restraint not to claw my own eye out.

Re: Anyone ever scratched their eyeball?
Yes, the full hororr of it was worse, I can honestly say that I have never felt pain like it.
I laughed when they bought a nurse in before the procedure started just so that I could hold her hand, but by the end of it all I had nearly pulled her hand off of her arm.

This is absolutely no help but I know someone who dated a girl who liked having her eyeballs licked during sex. I really hope your eye feels better HCP.
