Thanks again, everyone.

I've chucked a cheeky 10km in there which TC would love as it's a nighttime trail run through a windfarm.
That sounds fun, Duo. Hope your ankle recovers quickly!

Thank you. Just to put this into (more) context, having viewed the finish list today, I was 390th out of 396 finishers

I’d normally let something like that diminish my sense of achievement, but I’m still really chuffed :))

I’ll shut up now. Probably :look:

I was way toward the back on my 10k too. Still did it though, innit.

Is that your first HM, Mojo?

My first I was 2:45, I then followed it up with a 2:49 and then steered away from the distance for years so you're definitely not too slow.

My PB is 2:09 so a massive improvement but as I mentioned before I tend to start off slow and not pick up the pace until it's too late.

I wasn't looking forward to this race as I was a last minute addition to the team, it's teams of either 4 men or 3 woman all completing a 4km loop. The first half is all downhill and the second is horrendously uphill but I survived and live to see another day, not totally fit but getting back there. :))

Well done, Duo!

I’ve not put any XC on yet, as I’m not sure which ones I’ll get to. I would like to do a few this year though.

Duo definitely has plenty on the go now!

I've decided to do the Manc HM on Sunday, as I think I'll just regret it if I don't, especially when I see all the post run celebrations. I'm absolutely not aiming for any kind of time though, as I've really not trained at all for this, so basically finishing it safely is the target! Apparently it's quite flat, so I'm holding onto that

There's still spaces! I am guessing that it should be really pretty actually, I know when I used to use the cycle routes out that way how nice it was so getting a little off of the further usual tracks should be really good.

I have a couple that I need to cough up for and enter, I shall add them on once I have confirmation of entry.

Well the first of the XC season done and dusted. Proper XC with grass, sand (nearly 1km was on beach), gorse and tons of uphill/downhill. I didn't die and I didn't do as badly as I thought. It was pissing it down and hopefully next week is a bit drier. :))

Good luck tomorrow Mojo and Pov.

Thanks Duo, and well done!

I did it in 2:19:17 which I’m thrilled with after no training and a slightly messy night out with work on Friday :look: it was vile weather and I cannot wait to get home for a hot shower!

How did you get on mojo?

That’s amazing, Pov! I hope you’re glad you went for it :))

I am suitably chuffed - 1:52:02. I was hoping for under 2 hours :)) I’m too frazzled to update the list so will try later.

Very well organised race, with pacers. I tried to keep the 1:50 (the slowest they had) in my sights all the way round. One of our club was there on his bike and rode/coached me in for the last mile which was much appreciated as there was a bit of a hill between 8.5 and 9 miles.

Our club got First Lady and I think that both men’s and women’s teams fared quite well / which is to be expected as we vastly outnumbered all the other teams
