It really looks so fresh, Cos!
It’s Anzac Day here. J requested I make an Anzac slice not biscuits this year, so I obliged.

I’ll take a bit of both, thanks!
Mr J made bbq scotch eggs on Saturday. He is allergic to eggs but the boys had them for breakfast dinner with pancakes.
Then yesterday I made a rather rustic steak pie. Mr J also spatchcocked a chicken for the grill but the kids tore into it before we got a photo!

I made an amazing parmigiana the other day. I sliced the aubergine and did them on a griddle pan and did not skimp on the mozzarella. It is even better reheated the next day

The plan was a pineapple upside down cake but I didn’t have pineapple rings in the cupboard like I thought I did. So I ended up making choc chip cookie dough bars instead.

I've combined a couple of recipes to get a good version of Korean fried chicken. There's still a couple of tweaks to do but this was amazing!
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

I like to be a bit more vegetarian (I wouldn’t define it as plant based usually, it’s definitely more cheese based) when C is away. I just had Heinz bean burgers for lunch. They were nice.

The burgers look nice, but I don't think you have enough chips.

Soaked in wine, white wine vinegar & sugar, then dipped in herby salt.
