I’m reading Garnethill now. It’s very dark, but brilliant so far. I basically love a bit of Scottish crime.

My friend used to live in Garnethill, its a nice part of the city.

I have no idea when I last posted but The Five did indeed make me very angry but it was so interesting.

I'm now reading Carsick - John Waters. The strangest book I've read for a while. I'm also listening to The Cabin at the end of the World by Paul Tremblay but the narrator isn't grabbing me, she sounds a bit robotic.

I will definitely read the rest of the Garnethill books. I love Glasgow.

The Magnificent Sons was really good. Justin Myers is just great.

The Alex Marwood was a good premise, but a bit lacking. I couldn't tell you what it lacked, but I felt rather let down. I am now on How To Survive A Plague by David France, which seems timely, but is actually about the fight against HIV and AIDS.

I finished Rodham, and quite enjoyed it. I agree with Ken that it wasn't her best but it was a good premise.

I am going through Jilly Cooper's romances. They are brilliant reads but they haven't aged terribly well, I must say. I now realise where a lot of my fucked-up views on men & women have come from. Next I am re-reading Elidor and The Owl Service by Alan Garner, having just watched The Owl Service on Youtube and spooked myself with it all over again.

It was a real joy reading both of those after so many years. As an adult I get so much I missed before. I'm now re-reading Duma Key by Stephen King which I've been meaning to reread for ages.
