Re: Weight Loss 2020
That sounds like a good plan, Maya. It's probably what I should/will aim for, with more regular exercise.
I need to get my act together. I'm struggling with motivation to start because we have no kitchen right now and are eating far too much takeout and sandwiches/toast. But we have 4 more weeks of disruption so this can't continue.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I am religiously logging on MFP, but I am eating my exercise calories too. It seems impossible to have 3 decent meals on 1200 calories.
In more positive news, I have barely snacked at all, apart from some fruit, and a couple of jaffa cakes here and there. I have coped ok with this which is a pleasant surprise as I love sweet stuff and crisps.

It is not possible to have 3 decent meals on 1200 calories. It is possible to have a half sized breakfast and lunch and a decent tea (IME) but it’s still shit.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I agree Sally, I think thats why the intermittent fasting ‘eating window’ works for me as I usually have two larger meals rather than three small ones and feel less like I’m denying myself that way. But I wasn’t a breakfast person anyway so it depends on that probably...

I'm in, as I'm out of all my trousers, and 'm really not buying any more.
I'm doing Slimming World as it works for me, because if I'm in the lest bit hungry I feel sad.
Being a carb loving veggie who also has IBS food is quite problematic these days. I should probably just live on mash and white rice.

It's so shit, Marth. We are not meant to live on water and dust. Although I could quite happily live on buttery mash
I've been reading up on the science behind intermittent fasting, like the 18:6 pattern, and I can see how it all works in terms of insulin levels. I often skip breakfast because I'm not hungry in the mornings but I do tend to eat in the evenings through boredom and loneliness (not hunger). I think if I cut down on that whilst also cutting carbs, I might have more success.

Is that where you do all your eating between certain hours?

Yes. I usually do midday- 8 pm, but as I wittered on about above, it seems to have stopped working for me. It’s good though in that it requires zero thought.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I honestly can eat well on 1200 calories but I struggle for the mental energy to plan it well enough every day and not have any last minute changes of plan. Theres just no wriggle room.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
What’s really shit about 1200 calories is that having reached target weight I’ve realised this is my life now. I need to keep it going to maintain.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
It could just be a long stall. My weight loss has a tedious pattern of lose for a few weeks/stall for double the number of weeks I lost/lose for a few weeks etc.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I'm going to have to restart logging my food agin in my mfp. My biggest problem is I just don't eat enough fruit and vegetables. So my target next week is to include one extra portion in each meal plus better manage my portion control.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I lost another 0.5lb last night so that's 1lb in two weeks FML but my clothes are fitting better and I'm lifting heavier weights so I know inches are dropping and my strength is increasing
My aim is to have minimum 2 litres a day as I'm rubbish for fluid intake

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I am finding it tough :(
I need to do more exercise and sort out something sensible to eat as a mid-late afternoon snack. I'm not entirely sure of my scales, and seem to constantly have a bloated stomach too

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I lost 1.5kg last week. I don’t know why I’ve chosen to weigh in on a Saturday, I might change that.
