My sensible purchase seems even more dull now that I’m posting after those beauties.

I bought this cardi/ blazer and plan to wear it with my chambray shirt I think. I have it in the pale biscuit colour as they didn’t have the grey.

Obvs I won’t wear it inside with sunglasses on.

I also picked up a fine knit round neck jumper in a forest green but can’t find a pic online.

I ordered this to try today. But now I’m wondering if I should have got the chocolate A-line one.

I love that skirt pip but can’t wear that style as I feel like I can’t walk only waddle. I don’t know if I have a very long step or I’m just always late so hurrying.

That’s lovely, Pip.

I picked up some toothpick jeans in J Crew today.

Toothpicks are my favourite  I’ve worn them years and they are so comfy. Although I like the zip ones.

I bought boots! Hurrah. Brown Chelsea boots (I went for black but just hated every pair in the end so went with my heart and got brown), a pair of timberlands (never owned a pair before but I've looked at them lots of time, they were reduced to £40 from £120 so I seized the day). And another olivey green coat for in betweeny weather.

I couldn't find a coat I liked for love nor money last year but i saw SO many I'd have happily bought this year. Always the way.

No, of course not. Zara. Also available in black, a sort of dark rust and a beigey colour.

It's a very good green coat.

I have a wintery waterproof now, I have another waterproof jacket but it's just a shell, so no lining at all. Good for summer, but I have to wear layers for winter. This has built in insulation, but none of that irritating mesh, plus it's long enough for my monkey arms.

The Bf's mum gave us some birthday money, so she's getting the cheesy photo!
