Re: Weight Loss 2020
Oh dear. Thanks both. It’s so demoralising - definitely makes me feel low and wonder if it’s worth it for the reduced anxiety...I’ve gained nearly 5kg in only 3 months which is really a lot.

I'm so sorry Maya, that sounds really hard.

It's absolutely rubbish Maya, I also can't work out whether it's worth it. I don't actually think it is. I have gained 7kgs and it's both making me feel rubbish about myself and also weighed down and stodgy from the extra weight.

That sounds tough, Maya.
I lost 1.2kg this week. Getting there.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I've broken my ankle and have spent the day in bed, feeling both sick and hungry I'm relying on my Dad to feed me, not sure I ate a single vegetable today - I need to think of super easy, healthy things he can just grab for me, as I'm looking at 6-8 weeks of this.

Not joining the thread but just clocked your injury in the Advent thread and had missed it! :pop: You poor thing, Vigs. Do you have crutches and how long do you have to be non-weight bearing?viggy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 10:36 pm I've broken my ankle and have spent the day in bed, feeling both sick and hungry I'm relying on my Dad to feed me, not sure I ate a single vegetable today - I need to think of super easy, healthy things he can just grab for me, as I'm looking at 6-8 weeks of this.

Thanks Epp - I've got a walking boot and crutches, I've basically been told just to see how I go, but I'm expecting at least 6 weeks of hobbling.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I had no idea Viggy. You poor thing.
I thought I'd update on my 3-week diet plan.
I'm finding it ok, high protein lowish unrefined carbs. No hunger pangs but because I wanted to curb my grazing I've split my 1500 calories into three sittings which is working well.
My protein targets are 138-182g per day which I'm not hitting but I'm not beating myself up about it, I'm averaging around 110g.
Anyways in five days I've lost 3lbs.

Well done Est!
I discovered today all my shoes are too big. By miles I mean I know it's a nice NSV and all, but it was expensive and difficult enough to replace all my clothes while mid pandemic and not being able to try anything on. But shoes too? They were absolutely fine the other day. Bizarre.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
That’s so weird, Mayday. Especially since it’s so sudden. Mine got bigger after I had S and never changed even after I lost weight.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I hope you managed to find something Mayday.
My 3 week fitness has officially ended although their app and advice will continue until 31st Jan, not bad for twenty quid (can't find my pound sign).
Weight loss - 5.5lbs
5 cms off my hips
2.5 cms off my waist
I do feel better for it and found it easy to follow although I couldn't quite hit the protein targets they wanted and like in most diets I've found that I feel like I'm constantly eating which I didn't want to do. So I strictly set my eating to three meals a day and not eating after 8pm (which is sometimes difficult after exercising once work has ended) and completely cut out biscuits etc.

Well done, Duo!
I'm now at about 7.5kg off. I'm not sure it really counts as it's due to meds and loss of appetite, but I'm taking it.

Re: Weight Loss 2020
I gave up on the shoes and will just live in my too big trainers til I can sort it out I don't want to go in any shops at the moment.
Well done both of you!
I've found cottage cheese to be an absolute game changer for me, protein wise Duo. 100g of that as a late afternoon snack and I hit my target every day. I'm going to focus less on calories and more on macros in the new year.
We had our Christmas dinner yesterday, so my weight is through the roof today (not real weight, water and salt) but it will come down. I'm still hovering, hover, hover hover but it's fine, I'm very disciplined and there is no deadline. I'd have liked to be 42lb/3 stone down by the end of this year but I'm about 3lb away and my loss has slowed down so much but I am happy whatever. It has been an absolute slog and I still have a way to go but I am so far away from where I started and that is the main thing.

Thank you Marth. I've worked really hard and I'm so happy. I put it off for so many years.
