Our kitchen is 90% done too.
Need to paint walls, finish electrics in island and missing stools but almost there.

Gorgeous new kitchens both, how lovely!
I have FINALLY got someone to agree to start work on renovating my bathroom, they start on the 6th December, cannot wait.
It’s been so hard getting people to even come out to have a look, and then they completely disappeared and wouldn’t quote, or quoted ridiculously high, or just couldn’t commit a date at all, even if it was months away. I was starting to think we were never going to get it moving, so I’m really pleased.

Re: 2021 renovations
We have ordered the bathroom bits ourselves from a local supplier, that’s costing £2500 - the fitter is charging £2000, and then there will be a few more supply bits on top of that like plaster, skirting boards etc, so around £5000 in total, which is what I had budgeted.Beatrix wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 11:26 am Lovely kitchens!
I’m pleased you’ve got someone starting your bathroom, Hobbes. Horribly expensive or okay? I want to get ours done but I think it’ll be a fortune plus zero availability for months. We will ask our builder next time he decides to turn up though, waiting on doors and a window to be fitted, plus our porch to be made weather tight - probably won’t be for this winter .
One fitter wanted to charge us £5000 just for the fitting bit! It’s not too difficult a job either, it does need to be fully replastered and a towel radiator moved, but other than that there are no layout changes, so £5000 is crazy.
Good luck with getting your bits done, it is honestly so hard to get people in at the moment. I don’t mind a wait, and honestly expect it, but just give me a date people so I know it’s booked in, even if it is months away.

Mine cost £7. 5k, but this involved ripping everything out, new floor, new ceiling, half a new wall, new pipes (cut into the wall instead of ugly boxing), new electrics/lights/fan, then all new shower/sink/toilet/panels etc etc. I'll show photos end of week!

Lovely new kitchens!
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

Here’s an updated photo of our old conservatory/now sitting room and office now we’ve got some furniture in. We are so pleased with it, and are using it about 500% more than as a conservatory already.

It's gorgeous Liv, and how nice to add a whole other room to your house without building work!

That’s gorgeous, Livilla. Mum is finding she’s using her conservatory much more too since having her roof done. It looks so much nicer!

Oh wow the double stove is amazing! What a huge room. I bet you'll spend all your time in there
I adore the green frames on your conservatory, Liv!
