I also made a banana cake with cinnamon buttercream filling. J hacked a slice off, threw it onto a plate and slopped salted caramel sauce on top :elegant: :ella:

It tasted alright though.

You just need some kimchi with that rice. A combo I am obsessed with.

Edith, you have put me in the mood of lemony potatoes.

Sriracha. It just tops it off nicely.

The inside is bright green!!! It’s a bechamel with puréed peas, wild garlic, spinach to make up the weight, lemon juice and creme fraiche. I think I linked the recipe in a different thread but it’s so good I’ll link again: http://www.rosiebirkett.com/2021/03/05/ ... -puff-pie/

It does look purple but I find banana bread can go mauve.

That pie! We often get wild garlic in our veg box so I will keep that to hand.

I needed to use up some ground turkey that had been defrosted so made a tomato & basil turkey thing with baked polenta (an accidental online shopping purchase).

The pastries (mozzarella and bacon) were made by me, the Easter cookies were not but are amazing.

I could go your salmon ramen just now, Dics :ready:

We did a whole seabass on the grill and copied Alison Roman’s entire menu plan (we’d made it once before on holiday and I wanted to recreate it) - preserved lemon dressing, herby orzo, crushed cucumbers and olives and sliced tomatoes. It was just as good (well better as I had all the actual ingredients this time making it at home!)

I had bought tomatillos as they were in season and didn’t plan and overlooked that anything tomatillo would need cilantro so I got some today and wanted to use the tomatillos before they went bad so made some green mole.

Was not planning on this but decided to make lamb enchiladas to put the mole on. It seemed like it was meant to be (not following a recipe) as it used every tortilla I had, fit perfectly in two dishes and used the exact amount of mole I’d made :)

Should probably write down what I did
