Me: (after crying because I can’t find the right car for the right price) This is what it’s like when you’re pregnant,
sometimes you cry about things that don’t make any sense to cry over.
BM: To be fair, that’s pretty much my life, I never know why I’m crying. And I have a good few years of this to go.

She was quite cheerful and matter of fact about the rollercoaster of puberty hormones

Sproglette just came off a video call with my ILs.

“They were just arguing about how tall Inspector Gadget is. That must be what happens when you’re old. You run out of things to argue about so start arguing about a cartoon character’s height.”

TT asked me why I had so many scratches on my arms. I told her (truthfully!) that I'd had a big battle with brambles trying to pick blackberries, explaining how the biggest juiciest ones were always a long way away and the brambles didn't want you to get them :blah: but they tasted SO GOOD and was quite dramatic about it. TT listened carefully and then turned to me with a bit of a disdainful smile: "Why didn't you just buy them from the shop?"

She's also developed a habit of pulling up her skirt: "Look at my AMAZING bottom!"

I was having trouble getting Rosco to poo and she insisted on showing him how it is done: "Just open your legs and go like this - pfffrrrrt"
"You first have to find out who you are. Then you have to be it like mad."

She is! That's what she calls herself but I normally call her Bobs. She has also learned a song: "There was an aunty had a dog and Rosco was his name-oh. R O S C O, R O S C O" , etc., etc. I taught her a song I sang at Brownie's - "Minnie's Bloomers" - but we put her name in rather than Minnie's.

She and her little brother Z are an absolute joy.

Sproglette noted that she now cuddles me like an adult due to her height not a child, with arms doing the one over one under instead of hers going round my waist. She patted my back for emphasis.

That's really sweet, Wendy.

When my sister was over during the summer, A complimented her on her dress with "That's a lovely dress, Auntie ZoomSis. It looks very antique!" We were rather baffled. It was a perfectly normal, neither old nor new, summer dress.
It transpired this evening that she thought 'antique' means 'delicate and beautiful'. Once again, I blame Peppa Fucking Pig.

X talks in her sleep, and usually it's "doggies" or "strawberries" or something similar, but she's napping now and she just came out with "dude, bruh!" She's clearly picking up a lot from her big sister. :))
