Re: Commonwealth Games
I was frantically switching between the swimming and athletics iPlayer feeds (thanks so much BBC, they are brilliant) and loved loved loved Duncan Scot’s 200IM win, Ben Proud’s 50m win, the mens medley relay win (such depth in British swimming right now - England beating the Aussies without Adam Peaty in form or Duncan Scott with his absolutely lightening anchor leg was just ahhh!) and then Eilish winning the 10,000 and KJT and and and… (there were some stunning Kiwi medalists in there too). Such a brilliant meet

Re: Commonwealth Games
I am slighyly miffed that I missed the last two nights of swimming because I was out. But bloody hell I loved the BBC presenter team- Clare, Rebecca and Mark work so well together and adding Ellie Simmonds into the mix too was brilliant.

We went and watched the women's and men's medal fights wrestling in Coventry on Friday night. It was so good! India did really well and there was a massive Indian fan contingent there. It was such fun and totally compelling . Whenever an Indian won they played really loud Bhangra

Re: Commonwealth Games
That really does sound like fun.
I was enjoying the 10m mens diving earlier- I’ve become such a diving fan over the last years- and the last night of the athletics with my favourite event if all, 4x400m relays. The 100m relays are always over too quickly and I will always remember when Roger, Derek, John and Kris won the event in Soeul in 1991. Where, coincidentally, Liz McColgan also won gold, saying she wanted to win the stuff toy for her baby daughter, Eilish

Re: Commonwealth Games
I am amazed that the English women won that, I was convinced that Canada has won it. What a race to end the athletics!

Re: Commonwealth Games
That does mean that Scotland now get bronze, so well done them. And well done to Laura Muir in the 1500m earlier too!

Re: Commonwealth Games
Anyone watching the closing ceremony? Not too much in the way of sport but Come On Eileen is my very favourite song so I’m a happy camper tonight. They couldn’t not play it could they?
