Glad you and your bro liked it, Lils.
Re: Creamy fig pasta with lemon & rosemary
I thought this was absolutely lovely with so many different flavours. And very different to our usual pasta dishes. So rich! I was glad there was a big salad with it.
This will be my go-to dish if I ever have to feed a veggie.

I was about to post the faint smilie but saw that I already did so in 2012. Still haven't got around to making it though.

Ever since I re-joined TMT I've been wanting to try this. I even bought tagliatelle, parmesan, cream and St. Augur cheese earlier today and now I can't get fresh figs anywhere. It'll have to wait til June or so!

Ah, yes. Figs are a summer fruit. Unless you harvest them and freeze them. I keep a stock of frozen figs for emergencies.

I hope it's worth the wait, Isam!
I had it last year as I mostly do every year. It's so lush. You might do well to add a splash of the pasta cooking water at the creamy stage to loosen and de-clag.

Do you have a Picard nearby, Isam? I bet they have frozen figs.

I've never seen frozen figs in the UK, or in the US (I guess they had amazing figs growing all year round though)!
There's a new season of South African figs here. Before that they were all from Peru. It's quite a long way for figs to travel!
