Positive About Saturday

Post by sally maclennane »

My bloody cold is Covid :verm: I was sweating all night, and then I couldn't smell anything when I was in the shower. So I did a test and it appeared within seconds. I feel ok and I've been feeling rubbish for a few days so I'm hoping it doesn't last much longer.

Obviously no plans for me other than sitting on the couch, and drinking tea.

What about you?

Oh no Sal! Get well soon. I forget that COVID still exists here.
I'm having a breakfast of bread, cheese and fruit as we sail out of Poole Harbour. It's such a beautiful morning.

Good morning.

Sorry to hear that Sally. I hope you recover quickly with no major symptoms. :fc:

I’m mildly hungover. Chunk and I stayed up and watched the first Doctor Who at bang on midnight on iPlayer last night.

I’m going out for brunch with my old NCT friends this morning.

Oh no Sal! I'm glad you'll not feeling too ill with it though. Coincidently my parents had their covid booster yesterday. My dad was invited because he's having cancer treatment and they did my mum at the same time because they had loads of vaccines.

I don't have exciting plans as the carpenter is back to do our staircase. I will need to go and buy some more items from the builders merchants along with the usual Saturday morning dance class ferrying.

BBQ later though :weewee:

Get well soon, Sal and hopefully the worst bit is is over.

I've been up since the crack as E was being picked up early doors for a Cub funday. I fully intended to do a weights class, but appear to have sat down and ordered some towels in the Liberty sale and not got much further.

The Liberty sale is so good! I got the wallpaper I wanted for Liv's bedroom half price and a lovely Falcon tray too.

GOOD MORNING! :perky:

I called P on my way home from my parents last night and arranged to meet him at a pub with outside seating. So I’m just heading back there now to pick up my car. A pint in the setting sun turned into spending the evening there.

I was planning to go for it earlier but the two women I was running with suggested we meet at 8am rather than 9am as it’s so warm. I said yes as I was up and ready but thought I might regret an hours less breakfast digesting time as I walked to the start. Thankfully I was fine.

Safe crossing Marth!

My mum had hers last week. When I went for my flu vaccine last year, they gave me a Covid one too as they had spares. I hope your dad is OK.

I hope you feel better soon, Sal, and happy travels, Marth.

My next door neighbour is in my garden painting the fence (she offered as she wants it to look the same on both sides).

It’s gorgeous weather here, and ticking “see the Northern Lights” off my bucket list last night has made me very cheerful today.
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

Morning. I’m at Westbury trying to get to London. Our train was cancelled yesterday so we booked an earlier one and then that got cancelled this morning. :fc: for the 11.24.

MrTex is getting some funny looks due to his genuine Victorian walking stick

As long as he’s left his top hat and tailcoat at home Tex :)) hope you make it where you want to go.

Get well soon Sal, I hope your symptoms improve quickly.

I’m a bit sleepy after staying up late to see the Northern Lights last night but have no regrets as they were amazing. I’m hoping the current cloud clears so I can have another go tonight. Today I have done some exercise and also massively offended a cat who thought he was getting a cuddle and instead got his flea treatment. He was so offended but needs must!

Morning! We are back from our holiday in The Lakes, the weather really held out and we had some great walks. Back to reality now and unpacking starts in 5mins, then a food shop and getting the house ready to bring Tom home this afternoon.

Sal, really hope you feel better soon.

Is that because your Victorian skirts take up the whole table seat area?
