I finally did a longer than 5k run. It was 8k and I'm going to have to keep an eye on my left calf for the 10k in a couple of weeks. I'm not planning to aim for any particular time though so no pressure.

I hope your calf plays ball Wendy.

I knew it was going to be raining do I had a lovely lie this morning so no run. I have just popped out for a brisk non rainy walk now to get some steps in.

Fingers crossed your calf is ok!

It was 45 min easy today for me. I did 7.85km and tried out my new runners. I love them.

That’s good. Which ones did you get in the end? Carbon plate ones?

Yeah, I got New Balance FuelCell SuperComp v2. I won’t wear them for every run, but I’ll use them for events and speed sessions I think.

Thanks! It feels fine post-run but it definitely niggled towards the end of the actual run. I'll be wearing my compression socks on the day, which usually helps. I should probably buy another pair as I like them on both longer runs and group runs (as I'm usually running a bit faster on those  ).

Badminton last night with the girls and lower body this morning. My coach finally got the message, which means she can only really talk to me about weights now. :))

Speed repeats today. It was hard going! Combined with 15 min warm up and 15 min cooldown, I clocked 8.5km.

Upper body this morning. I'm packing my running stuff for my work trip rather than finding a gym. I should get in my two remaining weight sessions Fri/Sat.

Dance step today. Plus the workout having to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the studio. :))

3.15 miles this morning. Faster than yesterday ! Despite this being up to the hilt in the sole of one trainer I’ve just found.

Hope it’s not damaged your trainer, Dic. At first I thought the pound coin had got stuck & you’d made a profit.

Oh, ha yes, I didn't have a 50p for scale. Yeah, that nail thing! I'm just glad it didn't penetrate my actual foot. There's a hole in the sole now but no harm done.

At least there’s no hole in your soul. :goat:

I did Pump & Balance this morning. Pump was over in a flash! But Balance dragged a bit.

There was carrot cake on offer, I had to stay! :))

I’ve been to kettlebells tonight too but seriously lacked coordination for all the mad shit she made us do.
