I can't remember if I've read that one, I went through a phase of reading her stuff but kinda sickened myself on them

I’m kind of feeling that way now too.

I finished Dog. It was sweet but not quite the adventure I thought it would be.

Whatever Flora is reading is next! Just going to check back in which of the Women’s Prize shortlist we agreed on.

I've just started 4, hope it isn't TOO traumatising.

I'm on 6 now, but I'll take a break after this one.

I finished Joe Country (Slow Horses 6) and I'm now reading The Prophet Song, which won the Booker last year. I'm liking it so far.

I managed to whizz through The Daytripper the other day, which is about a man living his life a day at a time but in a random order. It wasn’t perfect but was good to be able to finish a book because I wanted to (rather than begrudgingly or not at all, which has been a few books recently!).

I bought the Slow Horses set and I'm just starting the second one. Perfect for being away and spending some time just reading (and eating cheese)

Are they so good you’ll read them twice?

I have finished all the Slow Horses (novels, not including novellas). I did enjoy them but all in a row gets a bit bleak, really. I might read Secret Hours at some point, though I am going to have a break now. I'm thinking of making a start on the Women's Prize shortlist, but I am still deciding on which one first. Possibly not the Kate Grenville, I read quite a few of hers last year.
