It looks like a photo! How big is it? I can imagine it would look so good in large scale.

It's 36 x 24 inches so about 92x60 cm, plus a slim frame.

It is slightly smaller than the one it will take the place of (which will be moved upstairs). I hope the paint hasn't faded, but I have some spare if so.

I love that, Morgs. I was looking at similar paintings by a Canadian artist just the other week and feeling tempted.

I bought a second hand eBay Rye pottery lamp base in January and I’ve finally had it re-wired and bought a lampshade. I bought a more natural linen shade but Tabby at Rye pottery was correct (of course!) and the white looks so much better.

Robin is furious with me that we bought a cheap folding desk so that Squeak can sew somewhere that isn’t my spot at the dining table.

A busy time for home purchases!
I bought a framed print of a self portrait by Artemisia Gentileschi. I saw the original (owned by the King :ella:) for the first time as part of the Now You See Us exhibition at the Tate. The print was only available for a short time so I’m glad I bought one. Artemisia was an amazing woman. I’ve tried to show it in my sitting room too (reflections and shadows galore!).

Great lamp. It suits the shade really well.
I love the print too, Rosa. Did she paint Judith Beheading Whatshisname? Holophernes?
I wonder how much people like the King, or others who live in palaces and castles actually look at all their paintings? When you have dozens of rooms and they are all covered in art it must be difficult to do more than walk past them on the way to bed or moving between rooms.

She did, Morgs! Artemisia didn’t mess about!
The lights aren’t new, emma, but I do like them. I have two, one on each side of the sofa. These.

I love Artemisia Gentileschi with my whole heart. She is wasted on the fucking King.

What lovely purchase, both the art works and the lamp. So lovely

Those pictures are both lovely. I’m even more disappointed I didn’t get to see that Tate exhibition (was in London for the final weekend but it had sold out).
We went to look for a chest of drawers or a small cupboard at the weekend but came back with this jug instead!

Oh what a sweet jug. I love the shade of yellow as well.
I've finally bought something that isn't paint and caulk. Choosing a coat stand has taken much more time than feels appropriate

I really like Wireworks. It's a good coat stand, Marth.
