I think it's a combination of generally we live in a quiet area (mostly bungalows so not many children) plus I get hyper fixated when I hear something and then that's all I can hear. No basketball noise today so perhaps they are just visiting?

I'm on a train, with dead headphones and some arsehole is playing a film or TV programme through their phone. Honestly, when I rule the world, those fuckers will be first against the wall.
