It is great that they have something to do outside and learning new skills.

I think it's a combination of generally we live in a quiet area (mostly bungalows so not many children) plus I get hyper fixated when I hear something and then that's all I can hear. No basketball noise today so perhaps they are just visiting? :fc:

IWLTS (to my past self ) check your bloody headphones are charged :verm:

I'm on a train, with dead headphones and some arsehole is playing a film or TV programme through their phone. Honestly, when I rule the world, those fuckers will be first against the wall.

In a & e waiting area yesterday one person ( a bloke) insisted on playing TikTok reels with his sound up. I felt too ill to do anything.

What I don't get is that the person doing seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that others can hear it - talking mostly about sort of sane looking people not dickheads

I don't think they're oblivious, I think they know full well that others can hear their tosh but they don't give a flying f1!&

He's allegedly revising Lord Of The Flies, and if he doesn't do some actual revision soon then he's going to suffer the same fate as Piggy.

Mine is just mocks, but she was told at parents evening on Thursday just how good she is at Geography, which is her first test tomorrow. All of a sudden she has the tidiest bedroom I have ever seen, has put away all of her clothes (from the floor, obvs), cleaned her shithole of a bathroom and every time I have entered her domain she has been 'researching' on the internet. She is also a very shit liar.

I have threatened to take her to an oxbow fucking lake and leave her in the middle if she doesn't sort it out.

The room tidying procrastination is the big bonus of GCSEs. You can actually see the floor in Squeak’s now.

J doesn’t tidying for distraction sadly but he spends a lot of time “just sorting my music” on his phone.

J1 is a creative kid and always shows his creativity at its full potential when he's meant to be studying. Coupled with ADHD it's a golden combination.

My teenager has spent the long weekend, that was perfect for her catching up on some stuff, not getting anything done. Including tidying her bedroom.
