April Pay Day Treats?

Post by Pippedydeadeye »

They’re sort of also birthday treats here.

I have bought Greekish by Georgina Hayden as mine. It looks amazing and I really want to try the Baklava French Toast.

I’ve also bought myself a few beauty items, including my favourite Clarins mango nourishing balm mask, which I use as a night cream. It smells fantastic.

Oooh that does sound like a good book.

Mine is fairly boring but I bought some black loafers from Clarks via Zalando yesterday so I can be a bit smarter at work on occasion.

I like the look of that book from the reviews I've seen.

I replaced a broken posh wine glass. Treats will be thin on the ground until the lease upfront payment on the new car is paid!

I bought a Look Fantastic trends box for me and the girls, as I was buying UG mousse and it looked interesting. They’ve already attempted to dibs most of it, so I may need another treat just for me.

I’ve ordered a Flip Belt, clip on light and water bottle for mine (for running in the early evening as it’s now dark at that time)

I'm between blocks of paydays, so times are lean. My first real payday is likely to be June, and even then it will go to top up the bathroom fund. I might give up on my snake plant and get something less dead-looking. I need something unkillable though. The snake plant was supposed to be difficult to kill, but I've made a good go of killing this one . I'd like to resuscitate it if I can, but I suspect it's terminal.

My March was hella expensive (car MOT repair costs, car insurance, house insurance, car tax) so I think I need to tighten my belt a bit this month :(

I bought these cocktail glasses from the charity shop. £2.50 for all four.

I like those, Bramble.

I forgot, but Wendy's photo reminded me. I've discovered Laura Geller baked make-up and got some of that - a lightweight foundation/powder and a bronzer. I'm happy with it so far, and have ordered a fuller coverage foundation too, so I can choose from differing levels of looking undead.

New glasses are good even if they feel a bit boring.

I also treated myself to the Blossomise book this afternoon. It’s really lovely.

I treated myself to six months worth of vitamins and a couple of bits of makeup. Unfortunately I realised that I'd gotten it delivered to Minis address. I messaged her to let her know and then realised I'd sent to an address she'd lived at five years ago. 😩

She messaged me earlier this evening to say that she'd went by her old flat and they kindly handed it over. 👏😊

I'm also buying a pair of carbon plate racing shoes tomorrow so that'll be an expensive treat.

What a bargain those glasses are!

Lots of lovely treats on this thread.

I’ve bought two books already: “How to stop Time” and “The Starless Sea”.

I also want a new pair of shoes, ideally some black Mary Jane shoes or smart loafers.

I blew the budget and booked myself a trip to Athens! I'll be going from 9-13 May, I'm really looking forward to it. :daisy:

Athens will be fun, iIsam!

pip, that mask sounds lovely. Your description reminds me of a mask I had-can’t remember where it was from- that smelt of peach or apricot. It was very nice, and I’d buy more if I found it online soon.it might have been from the Body Shop. I used it a lot during lockdown:blah:

Jo, can you give me the 101-lon carbon-plateshoes, please? I’ve done an internet search but didn’t find anything

My treat might be an Apple HomePod, which is a small, spherical speaker for an iPhone. I need one to accompany my tone-deaf-but-enthusiastic singing in the kitchen.
