I think they all pretty much do the same job. We still have the same one from when we first moved in together 22 years ago.

I also have the Oxo one. Sometimes it grips too well and bends the tin slightly out of shape and doesn't take the lid off properly.

I’ve got anew contraption now that sounds like it does what the knife does.

I usually have to pierce the lid with the oxo tin opener to open jars.

I just run jars under warm water for a couple of minutes and that is always enough to sort them out?
