Where is nice for dresses now Warehouse is gone?

Post by Kenickie »

Warehouse was always my go to, and now I'd like a new casualish dress and have no idea where to start looking. I'd like somewhere with a similar vibe and prices please. Any suggestions?

I always default to looking at M&S & Next online because they stock loads of different brands.

I think that's right, Dics. I thought they'd gone out of business ages ago but they still seem to be online. Massively discounted though so maybe they are actually going now.

For a casual dress I'd probably look at Hush, Arket, Uniqlo. M&S have some good things atm and H&M, and Whistles might be worth a look.

Sugarhill Brighton have some nice, well-priced casual dresses. And maybe Oliver Bonas? I agree that the Next site is brilliant for this - they have so many brands and there are millions of dresses to choose from.

People Tree? Or Tree People? I can't remember which way around it is.

Me & Em is quite a bit pricier than Warehouse. I think Next online is a good shout, they have lot of different brands apart from their own.

Thanks everyone!

I didn't realise M&S and Next did different brands now. I will check out all these recs.

Warehouse and oasis are still online, but I've heard the quality has gone down, and I think Boo Hoover are supposed to be really unethical so I was trying to avoid, although I'm not sure if they're worse than others really.

Zara is really good at the moment. I helped my colleague shop for an dress and she ended up keeping all three of the dresses I picked out for her! They were all under £40.

Apparently some brands are more expensive on Next than on their own websites so maybe worth checking that before buying.

Thanks so much for highlighting this brand. I've never heard of them before but they have brilliant, affordable pieces, and I love their ethos!

You're very welcome! It's lovely stuff, isn't it - and yes, great ethos. I have several dresses and jumpers and they're all real favourites.
