Oh well. That's fine. It's not like we need a functioning public transport system in the capital city :ella:. For fucks sake. I fucking hate these people.

They also want to undermine Khan and this is their chance to both extend their reach into TFL and make sure he gets blamed for, well, everything.

I think his plans sound really good, although I’m probably missing something.

Yes, election next year. Boris missed all his targets as mayor , designed new routemaster buses then took the conductors off them, causing high non payment, and spunked a lot of money on a stupid garden bridge that won't be built, but still, that's better than a hopper fare for some of our most poorly paid workers.
You have lived life thus far, tell me how you have done it?

No, your not missing anything. khan's plans around cycling walking and traffic free routes are great. Khan however will be blamed for putting up the tube and bus fares etc etc

Yep. And Khan has always been a die hard, vocal, remainer. I reckon they have truly loathed him since the 2018/19 fireworks.

And somehow he constantly gets blamed for rising knife crime, when it's the years of Tory policy that have led to it and the riots happened on Johnson's watch yet somehow he wasn't to blame for that. :ella:

From the evening standard :

Free travel for 1.5 million London schoolchildren will be temporarily axed this summer and over-60s will no longer be able to travel for free at peak times.

Details emerged today of the price Londoners will have to pay in return for the £1.6 billion in emergency funds for Transport for London.

Totally political and targets the poor (as fucking usual)

I didn't actually know that the over 60s could travel free in peak. I thought that was the reason for the "twirlies" moniker

What a complete load of shit, though.
