At a bit of a tangent my Tory MP has had the whip withdrawn amid multiple allegations of misconduct. It’s not even surprising any more.

The surprise is that they took any action against him at all.

Surely that’s just a slap on the back? I mean, what’s the proportion of Tory MPs accused of sexual assault vs the general
population? I know mine was accused of rape. NBD.

He’s (allegedly) managed a hat trick of drug use, sexual misconduct and an undisclosed Russian loan. Tricky to completely ignore :))

I thought your MP was S’s university girlfriend but hopefully I’ve got your constituency wrong!

:mog: I’m glad he chose you over Andrew Bridgen.

I’m guessing he shared a girlfriend with Greg Davies?

Unless there’s even more to my mp than I thought :)) I’m in Somerton and Frome, David Warburton.

ETA Ignore me, I was trying to reply to 2 things at once and read your post as being to me rather than Pip.

North West Leicestershire. 👋 <~ that’s me proving my fingers aren’t webbed, as I always do when telling people where I live but not where I’m FROM.

She’s had a baby by surrogate, hasn’t she?

I see your MP Tex has been admitted to hospital due to the "severe shock and stress" of being rumbl..., er I mean due to the outrageous allegations against him.

Apparently so. There’s a lot of sarcastic local comment about waiting times for psychiatric treatment. Also this succinct opinion in a shop window.

That's brilliant

I see the Whitehall ethics adviser (successor in the role to Sue Grey) was one of those fined for attending parties and taking her karaoke machine along :ella:

I remember the guidance: stay at home, protect the NHS, have a karaoke party.

All the leaks about Rishi and his tax status make me heavily suspect that Boris or Carrie have been fined and this is their new dead cat strategy. It's got Rhys Mogg's fingerprints all over it. It not only distracts people but brings down what's generally seen as the main opposition.

Rishi’s wife is going to pay UK tax now Sunak's wife to pay UK tax on overseas income https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61045825

I agree, this has dead cat written all over it. Though her non-dom status is well dodgy.
