It’s all just unbelievable. If Trump’s exhortation to his followers an hour or so ago isn’t sedition (so 25th Amendment territory) then what is?

It isn't, but it still is. We should be shocked.

It’s all down to how fucked up they always were, with the guns and the obsession with their flag and constitution and that.

If you'd asked me in January 2015 I'd have pissed myself. Now, I can happily say 'FUCK, but this is the inevitable conclusion of the last 4 or 5 years, lads'.

The White House has now tweeted that Trump has sent National Guard. Honest, though, I trust that about as much as I trust Twitter.

2015 was lovely. So lovely, so sweet and naive.

No condemnation from Johnson yet? Even Farage has tweeted something although he stopped short of blaming Trump.

I believe that Emma_p and I fully embraced it, but we could all have loved it a bit more I suppose.

The BBC says that armed protestors are massing in Atlanta as well. I hope our American turtles all stay safe.

One of my old friends has offered on FB to go collect anyone who needs to get out of DC and bring them to her place in Maryland. It’s full on crazy what’s happening.

I also loved 2012. I was on mat leave for the first 6 months and it was full of coffee catch ups and new friends.

He just did it, 2 minutes ago.

Probably quite pleased this is distracting from the record breaking death toll.
