Fuck me. I just thought I’d check the Foreign Office travel advice for the States. That’s the US, not DRC.

Not that it makes things better but the advice is similar for US citizens visiting the UK:

I had a look at what advice we are given and it’s similar. Highlighting particularly the risk around mass shootings.

I was just reading a piece on Kashmir for work and see he's said he will do his best to mediate.
Umm. Please don't.

The PM said it was absurd and she hoped Trump wasn’t serious and various MPs have described it as a farce and lacking respect for Denmark.

That was what made him have a tantrum and say he was cancelling his visit now wasn't it. That they called him on his utter nonsense.
I saw someone on social media defending it as being actually quite a good idea. They clearly had not even begun to grasp the idea that you can't just go about buying countries like it's a game of Monopoly. Can you imagine how that sort of person would respond to Denmark wondering if it might fancy buying the US?

Somebody should 'activate' the Sultan of Brunei to make an offer for Staten Island, just for a laugh.

I think we just got a vision of our end-days-of-capitalism future. Anyone fancy chipping in with me for an Outer Hebride?

I really hope Denmark send the orange twatwaffle a bill for all the preparations they’d made for this state visit - which originally Trump invited himself on, only later did Queen Margrethe issue the invite - now that he’s spat his dummy out so publicly.
Not that I think Trump would pay the bill, but his behaviour is so unstatesmanlike it should be called out.
