He’s always wanted us all to know EXACTLY who he is.

I really want to believe that quote is true. In fact I’d quite like to immortalise it in cross stitch :))

Too little, too late. He should have gone back in the spring.

He should have gone out the back door.

Something is definitely going on. It’s all so strange and just before final Brexit negotiations..

FT reporting that Cummings was kicked out because he was mean to Carrie and Johnson blew up. Wtf. I mean, right decision regardless of trigger but you'd hope there were more pressing drivers.

Sums it all up though doesn’t it? Break the law, no worries. Hurt Carrie’s feelings and you’re out the door.

I'm kind of surprised he's defensive of Carrie tbh.

I guess he can’t have Carrie leave him now. That would reflect really badly in him.

Yes, I'm a bit amazed if he gives a fuck about someone other than himself.

That sounds like something Cummings would have ‘leaked’/fed/lied to the press, making Johnson look hen-pecked and, well, unprofessional.

I honestly thought that Cummings had resigned/been sacked. Turns out “leaving Downing Street” actually means “will be doing the same job plus working on the mass testing plans, but from home”. Fucksake.

This is really stressing me put, something seems so dodgy here. More than normal. Which is saying something! But it just feels like something very bad is going to happen. Either that or I’ve just forgotten what good news sounds like.

Yep, he’s not left, he’s not resigned, he’s not been sacked. He’s just WFH, and all that bollocks with him taking a box out of Number Ten is gaslighting.

Isn't it just something they're saying to make it look a bit less bad? All the news outlets seem to be reporting it as if he is going going

That’s what the narrative is, but that’s not what’s happening. Leaving Downing Street now means going to Islington.

The BBC piece reads as if he’s going home so everyone can calm down. Like being put into isolation at school for fighting in the playground.
