I was actually abstaining*, on grounds of ideological difference then I thought about Rebecca Long-Bailey being the opposition leader in a time of global pandemic and went Kier and Rosena. :)) I didn't give a second vote to Nandy, as I am taking her whole trans stance personally just because she's my MP.*

*I can be a right truculent sod.

I don’t believe that for a moment, Bats. :))

When do we find out the result?

Saturday, 12ish. I think there'll be some kind of streamed broadcast instead of a conference now. I assume the news will carry it, it'll make a nice change. :))

Incredible to think that the Labour Leadership contest has seemingly outlasted western civilization.

Is it better or worse that it's going to be announced now, amid all this?

Oh God, who knows. Labour were probably going to be annihilated in local elections in May, so that's something. Whoever wins, there's no Parliament right now so no-one will be holding the fat blond turd to account anytime soon.

There's no elections in May either... So, at least they've got another year to try and get their shit together.

Linsday Hoyle is trying to organise virtual parliament. I think *all this* means a lot of what I was banging on about previously on here - one leader to purge, one to rebuild - might change. Labour has to rebuild trust from the Corbyn disaster and Brexit but by the time we get to another election, Johnson will be facing down 'how his government dealt with coronavirus'. Probably in a very different environment where people have seen their priorities change a LOT on things from Brexit to the NHS and 'yay austerity, nasty benefit scroungers' to 'shit, how the fuck does anyone live on £94 a week (or less)'.

It going to be a whole new world, next election.

Totally, Bats. A whole new world in general. No idea how the political world will shape up in the wake of all this. But I genuinely hope that Keir is going to be able make Labour electable again. We've never needed it more.

I did Keir and Rosana, ( :vrb: ) and I'm quite cross about that.

#ThankYouBakedPotato is trending ahead of #ThankYouJeremyCorbyn on Twitter. Which is as it should be, of course. :))

Good to see that the ole Corbynites are still as delusional as ever. What the FUCK would we have to be thankful for? Historic election losses? :toot:
