The whining that Labour are smearing her for pointing out actual facts is quite something.

These people take us for fools. Their contempt for the serf could not be any clearer. They are literally laughing in our poor faces.

I love the array of photos accompanying the articles, of them looking smug, drinking champagne at posh events. There seem to be a lot!

He will be HATING this. Bleating about smearing his wife because he wants everyone to be so grateful for his beneficence. Like how all the theatres and other places that received money from the recovery fund had to make grovelling thankful posts on social media as a condition of getting the money.

Even Phantom of the Open had a Rishi arse-licking thing at the end of the credits about how it was only possible because of the government's restart initiative (this predated the cultural recovery fund and was more about insurance than anything else)

I've already seen calls for a government of national unity, it takes me right back to the halcyon* days of the post referendum wars. :))

The fines are neatly overshadowing Crispin Blunt’s defence of a paedophile.
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

Sunak just apologised and Parliament is open until next week. This is yet another 'time to move on' situation.

I am fucking seething.

The entire cabinet could take a shit on the lawn at Buckingham Palace and not a single thing would happen to any of them. It feels very undemocratic.

It's all so pathetic that they can just slither away again. I'm so sick of Johnson standing there looking like some overgrown child in front of the headmaster while he apologises yet again. First PM ever to be found guilty of a crime while in office, and it's no surprise whatsoever. All I can hope is that these fines keep coming for him - this one was for cake in the office but if fines for more boozy ones and a party in the flat happen, the pressure will keep building :clutching at straws:

Anybody listen to the statement today? Typically pathetic little apology followed by trying to change the subject to Ukraine but it was very interesting to hear how quiet his backbenchers were. Both Starmer and Blackford were very good, very personal and aiming their comments very much to the back bench. If there are more fines and clearer parties it's going to be nigh on impossible for him.

I hate them all. They’re banking on us being too worn out by it all to care any more.

They bloody would. Hateful bastards.

How do the ones doing the daily media rounds look themselves in the eye when defending such obvious shit?
