I’m convinced a snap election is being considered and is the reason for the disgusting Rwanda plan.

Even Priti Patel was getting a bit high pitched trying to defend that today. But, yeah. :ruby:

I think he’ll get away scot free. They’ll whip the Tories to vote against tomorrows motion and then Boris will just say “you voted against the motion so it’s all done with now”. Ugh.

Yep, I don't think it'll make any real difference. He's so brazen, using the war in Ukraine to save his own skeevy neck. And these idiots who think he's doing a good job? They're on glue.

We can still hope some of the pricks have a bit of integrity until you’re proven completely right Chicky.

The only thing that gives me a modicum of hope is that they might get a bashing in the local elections. His MPs may support him but there are a lot of people who feel very strongly that he lied and it may come out in the voting, which would obviously put pressure on him as leader and cause some fractures. That does put a lot of pressure on a good turnout though.

I’m mildly encouraged by the fact that my MP is usually so far up Johnson’s arse that only his feet are hanging out, yet he’s publicly stated (locally) that Johnson should resign. So maybe the tide is turning :fc: :fc: :fc:

ETA a link so I can find it in future.

Skeevy is such a good word. :))

They won't get rid of him as long as there's no coalescence around a successor. I've got a feeling about Hunt though. Hunt and Hancock. Machinating in the shadows. :))

He needs to see it through, being shambolic and shit and scrutinised by everyone all the time. Then we can vote all the idiots out.

That would be nice. The sheer level of material he generates for election leaflets is useful. :)) And someone holding onto the photos until GE time would be handy. :))

You've got me into the London Playbook thing Bats. I’ve enjoyed them saying that Labour are planning to go all in for the local elections with their leaflets.

Surely Starmer isn't going to fuck this up is he? Or is it just the police once again bowing to government pressure?

I really hope they decide their original decision holds.

If he gets a FPN, he's going to have to resign, isn't he? :uhh:

I can’t see how he’d have much choice.

Or does he just ignore it as De Peffel has done? Although Starmer does at least appear to be a man of principal, he's pretty skewered if this comes back as anything other than the original decision made by the police.

This is just the sort of thing that seems to always go on De Pfeffel's favour though, he must be the luckiest cretin to walk this planet.

Bit of a master stroke by Keir, although I suspect he’s fairly sure that he won’t get an FPN. (Labour police and crime commissioner in situ here). PMQs will be fun :))
