Kat didn't look too happy at the end of the 200m but I'm sure she will be fine.

Femke Bol did not look good at all in the hurdles. I wonder if she's got the Covid? Or just knackered.

Does Femke Bol always speak like Pinky & Perky? Is it just excitement and or anguish? Every time I've heard her it's a really high frequency.

Almost only audible to dogs!

I said to M a minute ago imagine if she had married David Beckham. Or Joe Pasquale. :))

I think it’s more like Mickey Mouse.

We had the same conversation listening to Femke’s post-race interview - like a cartoon! Amazing run by the American though.

In fact another great night for team USA in the stadium wasn’t it? Some great medals for us in Marseille and in the velodrome, too!

Come on Katarina- please, please, please beat Thiam! I am having to follow the BBC text services instead of watching it on the telly…

(One of my old managers in Belgium had a daughter who competed against Thiam and was very uncomplimentary about her. And of course I want KJT to win anyway- she totally deserves it!)

Oh really? I always thought Thiam seemed v nice, even though I obviously favour KJT.

Inaugural breaking competition this afternoon! Doesn’t sound very Olympian but does sound entertaining.

The breaking is great fun! I didn't realise it was going to be battles.

Silver for KJT. I'm pleased for her while being gutted she couldn't get the gold.

She’s had such bad luck at the Olympics before this, while it’s not the gold I’m so glad she got something and put up such a fight.

How lovely to see all the Heptathletes taking a bow together. They're all amazing.

That’s so nice. Sisterhood!

Squeak’s PT reckons she used to beat KJT in sprints when they trained together. :))

Yes, that was lovely.

The men's relay was a bit of a mess for the Americans, wasn't it.

The heptathletes do a lap of honor and go round the track together at the end.

I really felt for Megan Keith at the end of that 10,000m there. She looked in such pain as she crossed the line but I hope she’s proud of what she achieved, she’s a motherfucking Olympian.

Bouldering is absolutely nuts. What a great addition to the games.
