That was definitely a gap! I'd be well pissed off if I was Lopez.

Bernal's withdrawn. I'm not surprised, he looked injured. And if he isn't he's getting such an embarrassing spanking.

Yes, he really looked down in the interview yesterday. I guess there's no point in ploughing on.

2 HC climbs today and the peloton are only at the foot of the first one - already many of them have unzipped their tops. This is my measure of how hard it is. The BBC says that the second big climb is “basically a bike path” which might be a bit difficult for the support caravan.

I have been to Méribel but not higher up the mountain than the town, and even that in the car felt like driving up a precipitous slope. Anyone who can cycle up it is Superman/Woman in my book!

Wow that's impressive to do it, Beatrix!

I like Lopez so I'm pleased for him. I don't think I've ever noticed what he's like at time trialling though.

I agree it's been a good race. I think last year was frustrating for a few reasons (stages cut short) but this has turned out really well.

Great stage today, really enjoyed watching Carapaz and Kwiatkovski win.

Sometimes the time trials can be a little bit dull, but not today!

It was stunning. I wanted to cry for Roglic at the end. Delighted for Porte though, comfortably 3rd in the end

That was unbelievable! Great for Ritchie, amazing from Pogacar. But yes, felt very bad for Roglic.

Watching the build up to the stage in the highlights programme I thought it was going to be pretty dull - wrong!!

Its not just losing but knowing its the sort of spectacular loss people will be talking about for years. I really feel for him.

I feel for Roglic but what a completely incredible win! Three jerseys!

Oh. :(

Well, it didn't work too well for them! :look:

So pleased for Sam. A really satisfying ending to a great tour.
