The mother is a TA at the school so I think she's just being really try hard. Plus, the Mum is a Crufts winner, I always give a bit of side eye to people like her. :judgemental:

My whatsapp group of school friends (why, yes, it probably is cliquey, I care not) would be A GLOW if someone's kid was trying to enforce a daily dance class

The teachers told G’s year they wouldn’t be approving non-school work content to the seesaw blog. Maybe suggest similar at your school, Kleio. The teacher can’t possibly want a class full of kids uploading dance routines every day WTF?

I get annoyed just by kids commenting on the google classroom page.

The stuff kids were uploading until the crackdown by the teachers was astonishing.

I don't let W have direct access to, I'm a bit agog that clearly some kids weren't being monitored on it at all!

Me too. I've set the imac from my office up in the kitchen/family room so I can supervise.

:mog: Her flyball team did a few years ago :))

Ours encourage educational style non school work to be uploaded but to a point. This morning Elf’s teacher had put a response banning the dancing videos thank goodness. The other one though is still in full school council mode. She’s acting like a 10 year old TA. “Everyone MUST meet up on TT Rockstars at 2pm. Betty, you’ve never joined in, you should be, here’s a ‘fun’ quiz for you to do, why haven’t you done it? MISS! Elizabeth hasn’t done it!” I’m going to have to have a word. This is the teachers first class out of uni so I think she isn’t firm enough yet about shit like this.

As far as I’m aware, the children in my class can’t see each other’s work. I did set something up yesterday where they could have a kind of chat thread that I supervised (no messages posted unless I approved them) but I won’t make that mistake again!

They can only see each other's work if they choose to post it to the blog. It needs to be approved by a teacher before it goes live. Otherwise the work they upload can only be seen by the teachers. This is on seesaw.

I can imagine Cerise! We had similar hello threads at the beginning of lockdown but the more experienced teachers caught on fairly quickly!

This is the sort of shit Betty gets daily along with 3-5 minute videos, emails, quizzes, dares and a few times she’s set schoolwork! A 10 year old!
