The old up the duffers thread is locked and I wanted to wish Angus lots of luck for tomorrow. I hope it all goes smoothly and please post pictures as soon as you can

Thank you, but it's just been cancelled No beds apparently. I've already taken my drugs too. Never mind. So now I have no idea when it will happen. That'll teach me for moaning about the birthday

Even numbers are better anyway. ;)
But that must be horrible, and not to know when. I'm sorry.

Oh no, that's been the date for ages, hasn't it? Fingers crossed you get in soon.

Oh how frustrating! It would be better if you had a bed though.

Thanks all. I'm alright about it really. It can't be helped and if I was having a natural birth I'd just have to wait and see anyway.
I shall just make the most of additional days to lounge around doing nothing, I'm sure I'll be grateful of them soon enough!

The more lounging the better, but how frustrating for you. Do you have any idea when they will get you in?
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

No, rosy, they're very busy apparently. They're going to ring when they have room.
Re: Buns in the oven
Best of luck Angus, hope they can find a bed soon. A bit more relaxing and lounging sounds a good plan though.

You'll probably see me soon, with a DMSF, talking about how I had to give birth in the car park as there were no beds.

DMSF with baby, standing next to a pay and display sign!
Seriously though that pretty much sucks, I hope you can get in soon. Enjoy the lounging though.

What would happen if you were to go into labour? They'd have to find you a bed then.

You'd become an emergency and then would be prioritised. Or transferred to another hospital.
Hope they shift the winter backlog soon!

How frustrating, Angus. I hope you don't have too much longer to wait.
Apparently the hospital where I gave birth is super busy too. There were babies being born on the ward cos birth suite was full the other week according to the midwife I was chatting to recently. No wonder they kicked me out so quickly!

Argh Angus, hope you're not left waiting for too long.
Can I just say though that I initially though Heeb had darted a tread to announce that they'd spotted another heartbeat on a scan and she was having Twins.

Oh no Angus! I hope they let you know soon, that must be very frustrating. I don't spend much time in the pregnancy threads so don't know your due date but the C section must happen soon surely?
Hopefully it will happen v soon and on a less wild and woolly day.
