He is much better, though he still has flare ups of the rash and swelling. I had to take him out of playschool on Thursday because he was upset that his knees hurt, which is related to the whole thing. But so far his kidneys look good.
He marched into the hospital for his tests yesterday and asked to go to his room. Like it’s a hotel. Most put out when he wasn’t admitted again

Re: Juvenile Jibber Jabber
I’d expect better food, apparently his expectations are low.
This afternoon my work did a virtual Christmas party for the kids that involved having to spot Santa in the background. When my sister was leaving, H was at the door saying goodbye and started yelling “Santa Claus! I see him! Over there over there! I spotted him!”. He was adamant That he could see Santa. When I looked, there was a tiny old woman at the traffic light waiting to cross wearing a pale pink scarf that looked like a beard, a hat and a red coat. He was yelling at the top of his lungs and couldn’t be told otherwise. And we have a nest doorbell, so I had the whole thing on video.

He’s on high alert S was in the bedroom and bellowed “ho ho ho” while H was in the bathroom. He nearly creased himself to get out and look for Santa, he was convinced he was out there.

Re: Juvenile Jibber Jabber
I found this when I got up this morning. I must have been asleep (and P was at work) so she sorted herself out. Poor thing.
“PS Sorry for any inconvenience” killed me though.

Aw, how is she now Wendy?
I went running this morning and collapsed on the couch after my shower. "Aww, Mammy, are you all dried up?" Whut? (I did feel a bit dried up, tbh. )

She’s fine, just a few days of a cold.
I hope you are rehydrated shortly.

W and I were discussing God this morning and W says 'I think I do believe in God, but I don't think he invented the world. I think he, like, stumbled across it one day and put all the animals in'

Aw!
We had some discussion the other day about D turning 10 in February. He sighed and said meaningfully, “You have NO IDEA how long I have waited for this!” Er, yes we do, buddy. Just short of ten years. Thankfully he was able to laugh at himself!

we're all painfully aware of how long it's taken you to get to 10
(10 BTW! how are these boys going to be TEN?!)
