In a similar vein, I mentioned at the dinner table last night that I'd watched The Proposal recently (we were discussing comfort tv). The conversation meandered a bit and then J said, "Mum, you know that film with Mary Bollocks?" I was just about to give him a [Mary] bollocking when P put two and two together and interrupted me, saying, "Sandra Bullock! He means Sandra Bullock!"

I watched The Proposal too recently and was mildly horrified/ annoyed by the scene of Mary Bollocks falling around naked after the shower scene.

W and I walked down the road today. We passed a girl in his year at school. I said hi to her nan but the kids looked away from each other. Afterwards, I said 'why didn't you say hi to A?'.
