There are excellent.
TBL turned 8 recently and spoke to my Mum on the phone. She asked if he wished it was his birthday every day and he said 'yes, although I would be 365 now'.

The owner of this room just asked, “So, Mum, what needs tidying?”

Oh you should see N's. It's definitely worse than that.

It’s worse in person because I haven’t included the bed. It has been MUCH worse. It was the What mess? that got me!

I totally get it. I am often found screaming, "Of COURSE it's not tidy, there is LITERALLY LITTER on the floor!!!" only to be greeted my intense eye-rolling and suggestions that I am "going on" when it's perfectly acceptable to have sweet wrappers just lying around.

There’s clearly nothing to do in that room
Just reading Where the Wild Things Are to S
Me: ‘his mother called him wild thing! and max said I’ll eat you up! so he was sent to bed without eating anything’
S: rude
He’s 6

Rude
We just went to a big park with my nephews and sister. The boys had a great time and then it started snowing, big fat flakes. My older nephew who is 4 wasn't really paying attention because he was concentrating on the slide and chasing W around and then suddenly noticed the snow and went 'WAIT! Whats happening?!'

I’ve just had a delivery for work, and when I told H it was a present for me, he looked at me hopefully and said “Mammy, is it gin?”

And was it?
All through the holidays, its got to about 4pm and W has asked 'If it drinks time yet?' (YES).
We were watching Pearl Harbor the other day, which he got bored with because its 80% slushy romance. We got about half way and then discussed turning it off and watching something else, to which he piped up 'If you want to finish Pearl Harbor you can do it in your own time'

It was wine and a new Garmin watch so he wasn’t too far off. He was very excited at the thought that it might be gin though.
W Did you finish watching it in your own time?
