My sister just sent this

N at bedtime "mummy what does compless mean?"

5 mins of investigation into compass? Compress? Accomplice?

"N- who says compless?"

"Nanny says it at bedtime"

Night night Noah COMPLESS!😂😂😂

Compless!

I realised today that my children still say “random acclause” instead of “round of applause”. I know I’ve told them this before but they look at me blankly and carry on using their version .

Elvis has come out with a few things this weekend but the one I remember is her asking when exactly one learns ‘car language’.

What did you tell her Wendy? I’d lay bets on her being fluent by the end of the year :))

But did you rip your pants, F’arty?

After visiting her other Granny (My ex-MIL)

"Othergranny is anxious and depressed, but she hates her friends! No wonder she's depressed if she hates her friends, if you hate your friends find other friends and stop being miserable! Every time she gets a text from her friend she groans and says "what now?" - what's that about?! Anyone would be depressed if they hate their friends"

I have been trying to instill a bit more independence in A recently, aka encouraging her not to be quite so lazy and demanding.
This morning:
"Can I have a banana please?"
"Yes, they're in the bowl in the kitchen, help yourself."
*huffiness* "I'm not my own servant, you know!"

Ehhh...I have news for you, kiddo. :))

Nothing too interesting but we did have to think. It’s mainly picked up from observing other drivers isn’t it? Rather than something an instructor specifically covers. Though I guess if you haven’t picked up how to say thank you beforehand, an instructor would show you.

Chunk just came up to me, put his arms around me and whispered in my ear, “I just did a poo as big as my foot.” Then left.

Chunk!

I keep remembering and laughing about something G said the other day, “I like the paint on that car, is it called rug, or carpet? …When it’s not shiny?”

Definitely carpet, Squiz. :))

A has been doing climbing lessons on the big climbing wall in the next village for a few weeks now. They've proposed an outside lesson in a local beauty spot this weekend and I asked her if she'd like to do it. "But Mammy, how are they going to move the wall outside?"

S just got really annoyed with me when I was making a Christmas shopping list “we need coronations!!” This went on for about half and hour then she googled on her iPad and showed me a picture of a tub of celebrations 😂

You do need coronations! :love2:

My niece got hold of my sister phone and messaged the family (adults) group chat with an important question: what’s that Christmas song that goes at least nobby dot?

All baffled. Then she follows up with: It’s spanish.

She meant Feliz Navidad :mog:
