Is it worth ringing the hotel and seeing if they will be kind and transfer the date for you? Sometimes places will even if it is advertised as non refundable. I’m sorry you are feeling crap though, I definitely wouldn’t bother in those circs.

I agree with Pov, it's worth speaking to the hotel as we got a refund when S had chicken pox and couldn't go away.
