Well that sounds adorable! Excellent suggestions, thanks everyone. You guys are the best! Please keep them coming if there are more. I doubt I’m the only auntie struggling for gift ideas and not up to date with the toy market :))

I’ve bought this for 15 year old nephew. Thought it could be something to help with conversation on Christmas Day!

I need a small something for my other 15 year old nephew. Can’t be the same book as we’ll all be together on Christmas Day :fc: . Less than a tenner as it’s a top up for the PC keyboard we’re getting him. I don’t know him that well due to distance and my relationship with my brother. Any ideas please?

I would have a look on Firebox or IWOOT, Cerise, they always have cool teenage stocking stuffers.

It says it’s not due for release until August of next year.

The hardback is in stock! Thanks Cerise! I’ve bought it and will have a read before it decide whether to give it to G or his 14 year old cousin.

Great!

I’ll be buying it too. Cube struggles with reading due to his dyslexia but I still like FC to bring him a book (of sorts). It’ll be perfect!

Ah yes, I’ve ordered the hardback version.

Ooo, I glanced at that online earlier, thanks Emma! Think I’ll get that.

Would you rather is such a fun concept. Definitely a winner.

Anyone have suggestions for books for a 10 year old boy? I'm looking for a manga drawing book, and some sort of chapter book that he might be able to get into. Epic Zero looks like a contender.

I'm also trying to put him together a crafting set. He does a lot of cardboard-based crafts and I was thinking along the lines of an exacto knife and cutting mat to discourage dangerous scissor usage, but that might be out of the frying pan and into the fire. :bob:

My 10 year old loves Dog Man, Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants and Big Nate. I can’t get him to read proper (not illustrated) books.

At school S has been ‘reading’ Horrible Histories, a geography based similar, Wimpy Kid, David Walliams and Harry Potter.

He read a Baddiel book, and enjoyed it, but not enough to read the other ones. He really isn’t much of a reader though.

My 9 year old has enjoyed all of the above as well as the Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja series. I also want to say he’s reading about a book about a minecraft pig. Google isn’t helping though.

My 11 yo has enjoyed Iguana Boy, My Brother is a Superhero and Danger is Everywhere (all of which are the first book of a short series). Oh, and the How to Train Your Dragon series.

Thanks for all the book ideas. I ended up panic buying the one I mentioned when I saw it wouldn't ship until the 22nd so decided to stop dithering. I will keep the others in mind.

I am done! Two or three small things still to arrive, but I'm not worried about those. Mr LM is in charge of the big tech gifts and hasn't actually bought them yet, and keeps saying it's FINE when I try to interject. So I am being zen about that.

If your 10 year old likes fantasy, the monsters are reading the Wings of Fire books and loving them.
