I love that, Squirrel!

And Olive, that looks pleasingly like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation :))

Lovely!

I’ve decided that when I’m rich I will pay one of those people who comes round and does all the decorations then comes and takes them all down again afterwards.

Did you see that programme about Chatsworth the other night? They employ a Director of Christmas who plans all year round then gets her staff to do the donkey work in November :spin:

Thanks Morgs, I’m watching it right now while emptying the dishwasher/folding laundry. Maybe I can pick up some decorating tips .

I would definitely apply for a job as Director of Christmas! The Countess of thingamabob who lives in Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) was on the radio the other day and talking about how decorating the castle for Christmas is a year-round undertaking.

...and yours, rosy. Are your lights red?

The tree is white and the lights are red. And so far all the decs are red or gold or glass :theme: If I can get to see Tommy before Christmas I'll let him loose with all the rest of the decs. :))

N and I went to one of those garden centres that sell few plants but lots of tat at the weekend; so many different colours and ideas on which to base themes! I could have spent a fortune and had a different decoration scheme every year for the next 20 years easily.

A parent of a child in my class is a Director of Christmas (no idea if this is her real title but she has a Christmas decorating business). She does it for footballers and probably for restaurants and stuff. What a job!

Here's a terrible, blurry photo of my tree, with a bonus reflection of Home for Christmas in the window.

I love all the trees ♥️
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.
