Re: FML
I had been very pleased at the fact that Mr C’s study was below youngest’s bedroom as I can’t hear him but he’s just put a basketball hoop up outside my study window and now I can hear sodding basketballs being bounced for hours on end. Plus youngest is self isolating for two weeks and so he can’t go to school or his mum’s so it is ALL FRICKING DAY.

Re: FML
That would drive me mad! Err, madder.
I decided to work from my (cream) sofa today. I’ve just got up to make a cup of tea and realised I’ve been sat on a black pen. With the lid off. Aargh!
I do have upholstery cleaner but it tends to spread stains rather than remove them. BUGGER!

Milk is supposed to remove ink stains, although you might then have to get rid of the smell of off milk. That may be a less useful tip for upholstery than clothes.

I have and they work to some extent but I’m going to get ear infections as I’m going to have to wear them all day and all weekend too at this rate. You’d think the dark nights would help but NO, Mr C installed a massive floodlight a few weeks ago
I have put my foot down and said if I have a meeting I’m meant to be presenting at then it needs to stop as it will be picked up by my microphone.

Ah, milk! I’ll try later... thanks! I do have 2 shampooing gadgets with upholstery attachments, which is handy!Texaco Shirley wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 2:08 pm Milk is supposed to remove ink stains, although you might then have to get rid of the smell of off milk. Yes it was discussed and I agreed, it’s good for youngest to be getting some exercise for his mental health so I’m in favour of it in principle and I can wear earphones which block most of it out. It’s just much louder than I thought it would be and it’s coincided with him being here all day with not much to do.

Oooh rain! I forgot about that. Must learn some rain dances!
It can’t go anywhere else because it has to be 10 ft high (regulation) and it has to be near flat concrete ground. The only other place it could go is on the actual house but it’s really ugly. I’ll cope and at least he’s happy!

My laptop is broken It was working this morning and now it won’t switch on. The charge light is not on so I don’t know if the charge cable is just broken or it’s the laptop. I’m gutted as I had loads to do on it over the next couple of days.
